Lookout Mountain (11,261') - November 17, 2006
As per usual, Robin and I faced the problem of wanting to bag a
peak, but having limited time. Lookout Mountain, a highly visible
peak from the Bishop area, presented itself. A short 11 mile round
trip with less than 3,000 feet of elevation gain along an old mining
road sounded like the perfect dayhike. We picked up a baguette and
some cheese, hit the trail (err, road) around 11, and were back at the
car before 5 - slower than we'd normally be, but understandable
considering we did just get back from almost a month with no exercise
at sea level.
